At Em’seni Camp, our approach is to provide a nurturing environment where groups can come together to grow, learn and connect. We believe in creating a space that fosters personal and collective development, offering a range of activities and facilities to cater to diverse group needs.

Our Purpose

Em’seni was created to give young people a place to step away from life’s pressures and distractions, and discover space for growth, reflection, and adventure. Today, we continue that mission by welcoming groups of all ages — schools, churches, corporates, sports teams, and community organisations.

Our Story

In 1998, Hylton and Jenny Green generously offered land on their farm along the Tugela River, turning the dream of a camp into reality. Through years of planning, hard work, and incredible generosity from volunteers and donors, Em’seni opened in 2005.

Since then, more than R7.5 million has been invested in facilities and development, growing Em’seni into a vibrant hub for camps, conferences, and outdoor adventure.

A huge thank you for the most amazing weekend from the “tent” to the food to the bike trails to the late night camp fire.

The staff are absolutely amazing, the kitchen staff the hosts & all other staff that are involved in the running of Emseni you all do an amazing job. God bless.
